For The Beginner Bingo Player

If you have enjoyed games of chance before, or perhaps you are looking for a new way to entertain yourself, bingo might just be for you! Many people enjoy the social aspect of bingo events, and often the TGCA gets groups that come and meet up before the games begin.

Bingo is a game of chance in which each player matches numbers printed in different arrangements on cards which the numbers the game host (caller) draws at random, marking the selected numbers with tiles.

Players compete against one another to be the first to have a winning arrangement for the prize or jackpot. When a player finds the selected numbers are arranged on their card in the correct pattern for that game, they call out “Bingo!” to alert all participants to a winning card, which prompts a staff member to examine the card for verification of the win.

After a winner is declared, the players discard the cards for that game and the game host begins a new round of play.

The pattern that wins the current game and the numbers that have been called, will be displayed on the light up boards, located in four locations around the perimeter of the gym.

You can choose how many cards you’d like to play per game, and how many games you’d like to play in advance and then purchase more during the intermission at 7:30 pm. You’ll also need to purchase a dauber to mark your cards, which can be purchased in a variety of colours at the concession counter.

Hot Balls

Hot Balls is a Nevada game that lets you play bingo with an additional chance of winning money. Each ticket costs $1.00, and we offer $250, $500, and $1000 games. These games have instant winners, but they also involve hold tickets, which are the ones you use to play bingo.  When you receive a hold ticket, you will see 3 ball numbers on them. When the caller announces that we will be playing Hot Balls, they will call out the colour and the serial number, which is located on the back. You dab these numbers as they are called during the set bingo game. If you hit all 3, get ready to shout “balls!”

5 Nickel Games

Nickel games are the regular line any direction on cards priced at a nickel.

27 Regular Games

Regular bingo, one line of 5 in any direction, on the cards of your choice.

The Bonanza game begins with a pre-call of forty-eight (48) numbers early in each bingo session that it is played within. The game usually completes in one of two ways: Completing your full card pattern in fifty (50) calls or less wins the Bonanza Progressive, or completing your full card pattern in fifty-one (51) calls or more wins the Bonanza Consolation Prize.

Bowling Lane or Anchor; Champagne glass or Heart; Eagle progressive games

These games require specific patterns to be covered on the card in a specific amount of numbers called. If there is no bingo in that amount of numbers called, the pot is then moved to the next bingo event.
