All TGCA visitors, please note: upon entering the TGCA premises you are releasing the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association, board of directors and staff from any liability due to Covid-19. Any patrons who wish the enter these facilities during the declared pandemic has the understanding of the increased risk of Covid-19. If you have any Covid-19 symptoms, please do not enter the building, and return when you feel well. Thank you for your adherence to and understanding of these policies.

If ANY COVID-19 symptoms are present, do not enter the building. Vaccination requirements for the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association – Nov. 12, 2021

All visitors to the TGCA 12 years old and older must have either both doses of the COVID-19 vaccination, have a medical exemption note or have proof of a lab-accredited, negative PCR test within 72 hours of entry into the facility at the visitors’ expense.

The TGCA complies with the government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemptions Program, and beginning Nov. 15, 2021, the sole form of COVID-19 vaccination verification permitted with the program is the Alberta vaccine record with a QR code. You can find, save or print yours at covidrecords.alberta.ca.

The Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association reserves the right to check all guests’ vaccination status records or relevant documentation at any time they are in the facility. Please ensure that you have current vaccination records or documentation on your person while in the facility.

 

Injury or bodily harm

The TGCA encourages all visitors to any of our facilities to have valid insurance, in case of injury. The Thorncliffe Greenview Community association will not be held responsible for any injury/illness or death that may occur during a guest’s visit to the facility.

Should you or another visitor be injured in the facility, please notify a staff member and a First-aid certified member of the staff will assess the injury, should it be deemed necessary.

 

Drugs, alcohol and tobacco products

Alcohol and tobacco products are permitted only in the assigned areas. Please follow these rules as regards these substances:

  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the TGCA facility for any reason. Please smoke in the designated areas, and stay 5 metres away from all entrances/exits while smoking.
  • Visitors to the TGCA facilities are not permitted to have open alcohol products anywhere on the premises, with the exception of The 56 restaurant & lounge.
  • No drugs of any kinds, unless prescribed by a doctor, are permitted on the premises of the TGCA facility.

Damages to the TGCA facilities and surrounding property

Any damages incurred by visitors to the building, equipment, or property of the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association will be assessed and billed to the visitor, renter or tenant that is deemed responsible for said damage. Should this incident go unresolved for more than 30 days, the visitor, renter or tenant risks their good standing and the outstanding amount owing may be sent to collections. 

By checking the terms and conditions box in this payment window, the customer is agreeing to all terms and conditions for the entire TGCA facility, but more specifically the department that you are entering into a binding agreement to rent, book or make use of.

Terms and Conditions for bookings and rentals at the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association

Responsibility falls upon each person who enters the facility to exercise caution and assess their own health. All patrons who wish to enter the TGCA during the declared pandemic has the under­standing of the increased risk of Covid-19. You will enter our building at your own risk. TGCA has implemented the policies recommended by Alberta Health Services (AHS) to maintain safe operations.  

If ANY symptoms are present, do not enter the building. Symp­toms include, but are not limited to, FEVER, new onset of cough or worsening chronic cough, new or worsening shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, runny nose, chills, painful swallowing, stuffy nose, headache, muscle/joint ache, feeling unwell, fatigue, severe ex­haustion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, unexplained loss of appetite, loss of sense of smell or taste, conjunctivitis (pink eye). 

Vaccination requirements for bookings and rentals at the TGCA

All renters and guests of renters over 12 must be either vaccinated, have a medical exemption note or have proof of a privately paid, lab-accredited, negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of entry into the facility.

The TGCA complies with the government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemptions Program, and TGCA renters must also comply with the government of Alberta restrictions.

Beginning Nov. 15, 2021, the sole form of COVID-19 vaccination verification permitted within the program is the Alberta vaccine record with a QR code. Albertans can find, save or print the record at covidrecords.alberta.ca.

Renter’s responsibility regarding vaccination records of guests:

  1. The renter must post a designated attendant at the entry to their event or booking to confirm the vaccination status of every guest meets the province of Alberta’s standards, as stated above.
  2. Vaccination records must be verified in combination with a valid photo ID.
  3. Any person that cannot provide proof of vaccination should be asked to leave the facility immediately.
  4. All renters and guests must have had their 2nd dose of the vaccine no fewer than 2 weeks before their entry into the TGCA facilities.
  5. All visitors to the TGCA and its facilities must wear masks when not eating and/or drinking or engaged in a fitness activity.

Renters can use the Alberta Covid Records Verifier on newer Apple and Android devices to check their guests’ records. Find this free app on Google Play or the Apple App Store by searching AB Covid Records Verifier app.

The following dates were the deadlines for dosage requirements mandated by the Alberta Government. By signing this document or clicking the “I agree to the Terms and Conditions” on the payment page of the TGCA website, you are assuring that your rental participants are adhering to these requirements:

Vaccination date/doses deadlines:

Beginning Sept. 20 – all visitors entering the TGCA must be vaccinated with one dose of a COVID vaccination at least 2 weeks previous to this date.

Beginning Oct. 25 – all visitors entering the TGCA must be vaccinated with two doses of a COVID vaccination at least 2 weeks previous to this date.

The Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association reserves the right to check all guests’ vaccination status records or relevant documentation at any time they are in the facility. Please ensure that you have current vaccination records or documentation on your person while in the facility.

Prior to participating, participants must be made aware and acknowledge that although exposure to COVID-19 is unlikely, it is possible, and participants are participating voluntarily activities with a foreknowledge of the risks. Booking representatives are required to have a list of contact (names & phone numbers) for contact tracing purposes.  

 

Vaccination requirements for your Forbes Innes Arena rental (Renters Responsibility)

All guests entering the Forbes Innes Arena must be either vaccinated, have a medical exemption note, or have proof of a privately paid, lab-accredited, negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of entry.

The TGCA complies with the government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemptions Program, and beginning Nov. 15, 2021, the sole form of COVID-19 vaccination verification permitted with the program is the Alberta vaccine record with a QR code. You can find, save or print yours at covidrecords.alberta.ca.

Vaccination screening will take place at the arena canteen in the lobby before guests are admitted. Please proceed to the screening area upon arrival and have your photo ID and Alberta vaccine record with QR code ready. Those 12 years of age and under are exempt from records screening.

The TGCA complies with the government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemptions Program, and all arena rentals and partnered programs must ensure that any participants in their booking or program are vaccinated or comply with the below restrictions.

The following are required for rentals for youths (under 18):

Indoor group classes, training, and competitions are permitted, but participants are required to:

  • Screen for symptoms
  • Maintain 2 metres distancing, except youth while engaged in physical activity
  • Wear a mask, except youth while engaged in physical activity
  • One Parent Spectator is permitted with each participant.
  • Participants should not enter the facility until 15 minutes before their booking.
  • Exit the facility 15 minutes after their booking.

The following are required for all rentals (12+):

  • Wear a mask, except while engaged in physical activity.
  • Only vaccinated individuals are permitted in the Forbes Innes Arena.

Forbes Innes Arena General Guidelines:

  • The person making payment for this rental(s) is in charge of the ice/floor time, and is solely responsible for all damages to the dressing rooms and the building.
  • All damages are to be estimated by the TGCA and paid in full by the signee before any further ice time will be made available.
  • There is no liquor allowed in the building or on the surrounding property.
  • The Forbes Innes Arena is a smoke free venue.
  • You are to be out of the dressing rooms one half hour after your ice time.
  • If cancellation is solely ours, the party will be reimbursed the amount of the rental, or an alternate ice time agreed by both parties will be made.
  • Refunds will be granted if the facility is mandated closed by the Province of Alberta or the City of Calgary from the date the closure is in effect.
  • The Thorncliffe Greenview Community association will not be held responsible for an injury/illness or death that may occur during the above rental agreement.

Guidelines at The TGCA racquetball courts

The Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association (TGCA) has implemented the following policies for all facility booking representatives and guests to adhere to while utilizing the racquetball courts.

Parameters of your court rental:

  • Visitors to the TGCA must wear masks in the facility unless eating or drinking or engaged in a fitness activity.
  • Court play is 45 minutes in 1-hour block bookings.
  • Racquetball players will be assigned a court by The 56 staff.
  • Players will have 15 minutes to use the change rooms at the beginning and end of racquetball court bookings. Face coverings must be worn in the change rooms, unless players are in the showers. 
  • Changing clothing of any kind is not permitted in The 56, racquetball courts or hallways. Use the change rooms or washrooms to change your attire.
  • Players are to leave their locker doors open after use to indicate the necessary disinfecting of this space to our staff.
  • ONLY white soled, non-marking shoes are allowed on the courts. Shoes must be worn at all times.
  • Safety lenses/glasses are MANDATORY while on the courts.

Online cancellation policy:

When you have booked your court online, you can view your bookings in your membership account, as well as cancel your booking. Racquetball court bookings may be cancelled online with 2 days’ in advance of your booking date.

Bowlers’ vaccination records will be verified by The 56 staff upon checking in for your bowling booking.

Parameters of your bowling lane rental 

  • Bowlers 12 and older must be comply with the Alberta vaccination restrictions.
  • Masks must be worn by bowlers unless drinking a beverage.
  • Outside food and drink is not permitted.
  • Bowling lanes are booked for one-hour time blocks for up 4 bowlers per lane. 
  • Check in with the staff at The 56 restaurant & lounge before going to the alley, and they will give you your score sheet and bowling shoes. 
  • Please refrain from changing your shoes until you have reached your lane. 
  • Bowlers will be assigned a lane by The 56 staff. 
  • Ensure that all trash, score cards are disposed of before leaving your designated lane at the end of your booking. 
  • Ensure the lane is vacated at the end of your booking.
  • If you have booked online, you may cancel your booking in your membership account no less than 5 days before. To cancel, look under “Orders”.

TGCA instructors and league leaders will view these records and record your vaccination status, as these records may be requested in the case of an outbreak or other circumstances.

The TGCA requires the TGCA league participants and/or program participants to follow these guidelines to mitigate the risk to fellow players, participants, instructors, staff and other TGCA visitors:

  • Masks are required in the TGCA facility while not actively engaged in a fitness activity.
  • League and class participants are to follow the guidelines and instruction of the league leader and/or instructor, and observe protocols put into place for their particular program, sport, facilities and league.
  • If you don’t understand the current expectations, please speak to your league leader or instructor to clarify.

Online Refunds: If you have paid for your program online, you may cancel online up to two days before the class begins for a full refund. However, a refund will not automatically be issued, and TGCA staff will review your cancellation before issuing a refund. When a refund is approved, it will be put back onto the account that you used to pay online.

Closure contingency refunds: In the event that a citywide closure order of recreation centres is issued due to COVID-19 concerns, the remaining balance of your subsequent classes from that date will be refunded to you using the payment method you originally used for registration of the TGCA program. Credits for the subsequent classes will be offered to all participants.

Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association Terms and Conditions for the Fall/Winter 2021 Racquetball League

The TGCA racquetball league credits for past season closures are settled. All players were contacted to receive any remaining refunds in Spring 2021 and any remaining credits are now expired. This means that all league players are expected to pay the full fees to register in the Fall/Winter 2021 league seasons. No exceptions.

 

Vaccination requirements for the TGCA racquetball league

All registrants in TGCA Programs and Leagues must be either vaccinated, have a medical exemption note or have proof of a privately-paid, negative, accredited-laboratory test within 72 hours of entry into the facility at your expense.

If you opt to provide a test result before each class or league night, this proof of a negative COVID result must be provided to your league leader or instructor at every visit to our facility.

The TGCA complies with the government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemptions Program, and beginning Sept. 20, 2021, program registrants must comply with the new government of Alberta restrictions. Although you will only be required to prove your vaccination record to the League representative one time. You are required to have your proof of vaccination accessible at all times with in the facility. (AHS has stated that they will be spot checking businesses)

  • Changing clothing of any kind is not permitted in The 56, racquetball courts or hallways. Use the change rooms or washrooms to change your attire.
  • Players are to leave their locker doors open after use to indicate the necessary disinfecting of this space to our staff.
  • ONLY white soled, non-marking shoes are allowed on the courts. Shoes must be worn at all times.

Refund policy:

In the instance that a registrant will not continue participation in their scheduled TGCA program due to the restrictions announced on Sept. 15, 2021, the TGCA will not offer refunds as vaccination restrictions are beyond our control, vaccinations are widely available across the city and reasonable alternatives are available to all registrants. 

Online Refunds: If you have paid for your program online, you may cancel online up to two days before the league begins for a full refund. However, a refund will not automatically be issued, and TGCA staff will review your cancellation before issuing a refund. When a refund is approved, it will be put back onto the account that you used to pay online.

Terms and Conditions of Online Bowling Party Bookings at The TGCA Bowling Alley

If ANY COVID-19 symptoms are present in you or any of your guests, please inform them they are not to enter the building. Vaccination requirements for the 5-pin bowling alley

All visitors to the TGCA 5-pin bowling alley 12 years old and older must have either both doses of the COVID-19 vaccination, have a medical exemption note or have proof of a lab-accredited, negative PCR test within 72 hours of entry into the facility at the visitors’ expense.

The TGCA complies with the government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemptions Program, and beginning Nov. 15, 2021, the sole form of COVID-19 vaccination verification permitted with the program is the Alberta vaccine record with a QR code. You can find, save or print yours at covidrecords.alberta.ca.

Please ensure that your guests meet the province’s REP program requirements before they come to your bowling event.

Bowlers’ vaccination records will be verified by The 56 staff upon checking in for your bowling booking.

The Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association reserves the right to check all guests’ vaccination status records or relevant documentation at any time they are in the facility. Please ensure that you have current vaccination records or documentation on your person while in the facility.

Parameters of your bowling party booking:

  • Masks are to be worn in the lanes unless drinking a beverage.
  • No food permitted in the bowling alley.
  • No outside food or drink permitted in the alley; however snacks (chips, crackers) are permitted in the party room at bowling events.
  • Please physically distance from all guests outside your party.
  • Check in with the staff at The 56 restaurant & lounge 15 minutes before your party booking and they will give you your score sheets.
  • Please refrain from changing your shoes until you have reached your lane.
  • Bowling parties are booked for one-hour time blocks in the lanes and then 1 hour in the party room for up to a maximum of 20. Please note that if you have over 20 guests, the hour in the party room will be booked as a reservation in The 56 restaurant.
  • When your hour of bowling is up, please proceed to the party room or reserved area of the restaurant.
  • If you have less than 20 guests, you may decorate the party room while bowling is taking place. All decorations must be removed and taken with your when your booking has ended.
  • Parties will be assigned their lanes by The 56 staff.
  • Bowlers are expected to remain in their lane and use the lanes assigned to them.
  • Ensure that all trash, score cards are disposed of before leaving your designated lane.
  • There is adequate room for parent guests in the bowling alley as well, however, if parents are on the lanes, they must wear bowling shoes.

Online cancellation policy:

You may cancel your bowling party two weeks or more ahead of the booked date with no penalty. If you cancel within two weeks, you will be given a refund to the card that you paid with less an admin fee of 15% from the total.

Lockdown contingency: If the province or the city announce new restrictions that force the cancellation of your bowling party, you will receive a full refund to the card that you paid with.

 

Guidelines for Fitness and Meeting Room Rentals at the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association

Upon checking the “I have read and agree to the website terms and conditions” you are releasing the TGCA, Board of Directors and its employees from any liability due to Covid-19.

Responsibility falls upon each person who enters the facility to exercise caution and assess their own health. All patrons who wish to enter the TGCA during the declared pandemic has the under­standing of the increased risk of Covid-19. You will enter our building at your own risk. TGCA has implemented the policies recommended by Alberta Health Services (AHS) to maintain safe operations.  

If ANY symptoms are present, do not enter the building. Vaccination requirements for bookings and rentals at the TGCA

All renters and guests of renters over 12 must be either vaccinated, have a medical exemption note or have proof of a privately paid, lab-accredited, negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of entry into the facility.

The TGCA complies with the government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemptions Program, and TGCA renters must also comply with the government of Alberta restrictions.

Beginning Nov. 15, 2021, the sole form of COVID-19 vaccination verification permitted within the program is the Alberta vaccine record with a QR code. Albertans can find, save or print the record at covidrecords.alberta.ca.

Renter’s responsibility regarding vaccination records of guests:

  1. The renter must post a designated attendant at the entry to their event or booking to confirm the vaccination status of every guest meets the province of Alberta’s standards, as stated above.
  2. Vaccination records must be verified in combination with a valid photo ID.
  3. Any person that cannot provide proof of vaccination should be asked to leave the facility immediately.
  4. All renters and guests must have had their 2nd dose of the vaccine no fewer than 2 weeks before their entry into the TGCA facilities.
  5. All visitors to the TGCA and its facilities must wear masks when not eating and/or drinking or engaged in a fitness activity.

Renters can use the Alberta Covid Records Verifier on newer Apple and Android devices to check their guests’ records. Find this free app on Google Play or the Apple App Store by searching AB Covid Records Verifier app.

The following dates were the deadlines for dosage requirements mandated by the Alberta Government. By signing this document or clicking the “I agree to the Terms and Conditions” on the payment page of the TGCA website, you are assuring that your rental participants are adhering to these requirements:

Vaccination date/doses deadlines:

Beginning Sept. 20 – all visitors entering the TGCA must be vaccinated with one dose of a COVID vaccination at least 2 weeks previous to this date.

Beginning Oct. 25 – all visitors entering the TGCA must be vaccinated with two doses of a COVID vaccination at least 2 weeks previous to this date.
